Begin your journey in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its serene temples and vibrant night markets. Travel to Phonsavan to uncover the mysteries of the Plain of Jars, a fascinating archaeological site steeped in history. Continue to Vientiane, the charming capital city, where you’ll marvel at its historic temples and grand monuments. Discover the southern treasures of Pakse, gateway to the lush Bolaven Plateau and its stunning waterfalls. Conclude your journey on Don Khong, an island in the 4,000 Islands region, where you’ll experience the tranquil beauty of the Mekong River and the laid-back charm of rural Laos. This tour offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty.
Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, a local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After settling in, you'll head out with your guide to Mount Phousi. Here, you'll ascend to the summit to take in sweeping views of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River. If the weather permits, you might also enjoy a stunning sunset from this vantage point. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through the vibrant night market before heading back to your hotel.
In the early morning, you'll be guided to witness the renowned daily ritual where saffron-robed monks collect alms from local residents. After this serene experience, you'll return to your hotel for breakfast. The rest of the morning will be spent exploring Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and the Royal Palace Museum, which was once the residence of the former king (note that it is closed on Tuesdays). The museum showcases a variety of exhibits, including rare furniture, traditional costumes, art, jewelry, and daily utensils. Following a hearty lunch, you'll be transported to the stunning Kuang Si Falls, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pools or take a leisurely walk along the surrounding forest trails.
After breakfast, you'll be transported to the Mekong River to board a boat for an upstream cruise. This journey offers stunning views of the serene countryside and a visit to the enigmatic Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of varying sizes and shapes are housed. En route, you'll stop at Ban Xanghai Village, renowned for its local Lao-Lao whiskey. Following the cave exploration, you’ll return to Ban Xanghai Village to observe the traditional production of Saa Jute Paper.
Following breakfast, you'll be driven in a private vehicle to Xieng Khouang. Once you arrive, your first stop will be the enigmatic Site 1 of the Plain of Jars, home to 331 stone jars of diverse sizes and shapes. After exploring this fascinating site, you'll head to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
After enjoying breakfast, your guided tour will begin with a visit to the Central Market, offering an immersive glimpse into local life. Next, you'll explore Sites 2 and 3 of the Plain of Jars for a more detailed look at these remarkable structures. Following this, you will visit the UXOMAG Exhibition Room to gain insights into mine clearance efforts. Once your sightseeing is complete, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vientiane.
After breakfast, you will embark on a tour to explore Vientiane’s deep historical and cultural heritage. Your visit will include Wat Sisaket, renowned for its collection of over 10,000 Buddha statues, the stunning Wat Ho Phra Keo, the iconic Pha That Luang Temple, and the famous Patuxay Monument. Once your explorations are complete, you will be returned to your hotel.
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport for an early flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, a local guide will meet you and take you to Saravane. On the way, you'll pass through Tateng Village and make a stop to see how the locals produce tea and coffee. Your journey will continue to the stunning Tad Lo Waterfall, with visits to the nearby villages of the Alak, Nge, and Katu ethnic groups. In the late afternoon, you'll return to your hotel in Pakse.
Following breakfast, your guide will lead you to the Wat Phu Ruins, which are older than Angkor. Next, you will travel to the renowned 4000 Islands area, where you will embark on a boat tour for exploration. You will also visit Khong Island, the largest island in the region. The remainder of the day is leisurely, and you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in.
Khone Island is home to several stunning waterfalls. Today, you'll have the opportunity to explore two of the most renowned ones, each showcasing breathtaking beauty. First, you'll visit the surrounding countryside with your guide. Following this, you will embark on a long-tail boat to see the Liphi Waterfall and Khone Falls. After your waterfall adventure, you'll be returned to your hotel.
Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. We wish you a pleasant and safe journey back home!
