Embark on a captivating 7-day journey through the heart of Laos, starting in the vibrant capital city of Vientiane. Upon your arrival at Vientiane’s Wattay International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and the EMH Tours transfer team. You will then be transported to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a tour to explore Vientiane, the capital and largest city of Laos, situated along the Mekong River.

This morning, we will embark on a drive to Vang Vieng, a picturesque destination located along the banks of the Song River. Surrounded by lush rice fields and striking limestone mountains, Vang Vieng is renowned as one of Southeast Asia’s premier adventure spots. The journey will take approximately 3 hours.
Along the way, we will make a stop at Houei Mor Village, a local dry fish village, to observe and learn about traditional fish products. Upon reaching Vang Vieng, you'll check into your hotel and have some time to relax.
Next, we'll head to Jang Cave, a historical site that served as a bunker during the Chinese-Ho invasion in the early 19th century. Following that, we will cross the Song River to visit the Blue Lagoon, known for its stunning beauty and relaxing atmosphere. There will also be an option to explore Phoukham Cave.
In the evening, you'll return to the hotel and have the opportunity to explore the local Night Market at your leisure.
We will proceed with our journey to Luang Prabang, a charming town in northern Laos renowned for its stunning scenery and romantic ambiance. Nestled between the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, Luang Prabang is celebrated for its picturesque beauty and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. It remains a favorite destination for travelers exploring Laos.
The drive will take approximately 5 hours. During the trip, we will make a stop at a local street market in Phahom Valley to immerse ourselves in the regional trading culture.
Upon reaching Luang Prabang, you’ll have some free time until 4:30 PM. Afterward, we will head to Mount Phousi, where you can climb to the top and enjoy a breathtaking sunset view over the Mekong River.
This morning, you'll explore the key attractions of this historic capital, including:
Wat Visoun: Originally constructed during the reign of King Wisunarat (also known as Vixoun) around 1513 (some sources suggest 1512), this temple is noted for its early architectural style.
Wat Xieng Thong: As one of the largest temples in Luang Prabang, Wat Xieng Thong holds significant historical value. Its architecture reflects 16th-century Lao design, and you'll find the striking "Tree of Life" mosaic here, a glass artwork created by Lao artisans in 1960.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the pier for a cruise along the Mekong River. Enjoy the scenic beauty as the boat glides through lush jungle and dramatic limestone cliffs. At the confluence of the Mekong and Ou Rivers, disembark and climb a series of steps to reach the Pak Ou Caves. These revered caves house thousands of Buddha statues, left by devotees over time.
Next, we'll visit Ban Xanghai village, renowned for its local rice wine production. Before returning to the hotel, we’ll also stop at Ban Xang Khong Village, known for its traditional silk weaving and Saa Paper products.

You have the entire day free to discover the charming ancient capital on your own. Consider taking a trip up the river to the stunning Kuangsi Falls, or explore the city where you can participate in excellent cooking classes and shop for unique crafts in local markets.
Enjoy breakfast and have some free time until it's time to head to the airport for your departure flight. You'll then be transferred to Luang Prabang Airport in accordance with your flight schedule.
