Upon arriving in Chiang Mai, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. In the evening, join your tour leader (or local guide) for a welcome drink and a briefing about the upcoming journey.
Begin your day with an early departure to Doi Suthep, followed by a visit to the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, where you’ll have the opportunity to engage with these magnificent animals and watch an impressive show. Afterwards, journey onward to Sop Ruak, located in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
Start your day with a leisurely cycling tour, beginning at the large golden Buddha and making your way to Wat Phrathat Pha Ngao. Next, visit a local village before enjoying a tranquil lunch by Chiang Saen Lake. In the afternoon, explore the Opium Museum, a beautifully designed institution that delves into the history of opium and its impact on this region and beyond.
Travel to the Lao/Thai border to embark on a private slow boat journey along the impressive Mekong River, heading towards the quaint town of Pakbeng. Along the way, stop by a local village and marvel at the stunning natural scenery of the area.
Proceed along the Mekong River to the renowned heritage city of Luang Prabang. En route, visit the Pak Ou Caves, known for their thousands of Buddha statues.
Visit the impressive National Museum, which was once the Royal residence, and explore some of the city's renowned Wats. In the afternoon, tour the Xang Khong ‘sa’ paper village, then head back to town for sunset drinks at a picturesque Wat along the majestic Mekong River.
